The daughter of Potala Palace went on to be a fluent winner underneath a tactical ride by Aldo Domeyer. Our KZN campaign has been a quiet yet fruitful one with only four runners, but of that, a Grade 1 victory, a Grade 2 victory, and a Grade 1 place! A feature victory for Bass Racing! Winter Cloud c

A feature victory for Bass Racing!

Winter Cloud came home to victory with Anthony Andrews aboard to win the Grade 3 Champagne Stakes for Drakenstein Stud, followed closely by stable mate October Morn, who returns after a rest. Both fillies will head for the Grade 1 SA Fillies Sprint at Scottsville.

Another victory on the day goes to Kaiboy under the drive of Aldo Domeyer for owner Mrs Roberta Jansch. This was her first winner for the stable and also the stables first winner for One World.

Congratulations to all for a great day.

Grade One Stable comments ahead of tomorrow's L'Or

Grade One Stable comments ahead of tomorrow's L'Ormarins King's Plate and Cartier Paddock Stakes:

Charles Dickens - It all went wrong for him in
the Green Point Stakes. He was out of touch and was very difficult to manage. We have him in a terrific space going into this race, and this is probably the fittest he has been. We
are confident he will bounce back to best in what looks a cracking renewal with his rival See It Again.

Beach Bomb - She comes into the race a recent winner
of the Gr1 WSB Fillies Guineas and deserves the utmost respect. She never gives much away at home, but she will be a big runner.

Red Palace - She showed her class against the colts in the Gr1 Hollywoodbets Cape Guineas coming into the race with a less than ideal prep. She could be a very special filly in
the making, and we are confident of a huge run her.

A day where over a hundred memories were made! FUTURE VARIETY powered home under the drive of Morne Winnaar to win this year's renewal of the Listed Sophomore Sprint. Proudly owned by over 130 individuals in the @centenaryclub, Future managed to bring smiles across the globe today. Congratulations to every single individual and to breeder's Lammerskraal Stud.

Charles Dickens is in fine form while enjoying some early morning trackwork with his usual pilot, Aldo Domeyer, aboard.

"Charles has progressed nicely since his seasonal debut in the Gr3 Matchem Stakes and is doing well at home. He will have a gallop before his next start in the Gr2 Green Point Stakes. From there, we will head towards his main goal, which will be the L'Ormarins King's Plate in January." Candice Bass Robinson

Back To Back, Diana and Matchem Stakes victories for Domeyer, Bass, and Drakenstein.

Charles Dickens and Golden Hostess, both under the drive of Aldo Domeyer, kept the annual renewals of these two features in-house for the Bass team. Both Charles Dickens and Golden Hostess made their seasonal debuts in what looks to be an exciting summer of racing ahead. Congratulations to owners and breeder's Drakenstein Stud.

Tenango and Sugar Mountain both notched up a win as well at the country course for Domeyer and Wright! Congratulations to all the connections and to our team.

What a week it's been for our entire team, where we brought home multiple bronzes from the big night.

Charles Dickens brought home Equus Champion 3yo Colt and Equus Champion Miler. Rounding off the trifecta of equine awards was Trip Of Fortune, who achieved Equus Champion Older Male. Congratulations to Drakenstein Stud on what has been a fantastic 2022/23 season for them and their two stars.

As for our Bass Racing Media team, congratulations to Gary Lemke and Chase Liebenberg for winning in both their respective categories, print, and photography.

This 2022/23 season has been a brilliant one for the yard. Well done to our entire team for all their hard work and endeavours this past year. Here's to another fantastic year's racing!
