  • The only Horse in History to win 2 Queens Plate and 2 J&B Mets was Politician- Pocket Power has won 4 Queens Plates and 3 J&B Mets successively.
  • Pocket Power dead heated with Dancers Daughter in the 2008 Durban July. There has only ever been 1 other dead heat in 1967, when Sea Cottage dead heated with Jollify.
  • Pocket was renowned for his late kick swallowing his opposition in the closing stages just to do enough. Hence the reason he only won less than a 1,5 length winning margin on 17 of his 20 victories.
  • Bernard Fayd'Herbe has ridden Pocket Power to 7 of his 9 group 1 wins. (Jeff Lloyd rode the other two 2)
  • Pocket Power was only ever beaten once over the Kenilworth mile once from 10 starts, the last of which attempting the world record for 5 consecutive L'Ormarins Queens Plates finishing 4th as an 8 year old to Mother Russia.
  • The furthest he has ever won by is 3.25 lengths beating Majestic Sun in his first ever graded race over 1600m.
  • Pocket Power Only ever finished out of the money on 3 occasions from his 43 starts - His 3rd start, and his last start being 2 of them.
  • Pocket Power has never won a sprint - But finished second in 4 group 2 sprints, and only on two occasions, did he finish out of the money finishing no worse than 5th.
