What A Winters facile win in the Gr1 Mercury Sprint secured the 4 year old entire the award for Champion older male as well as well as Champion sprinter at the Cape Racing and Breeding award ceremony on Friday evening.
Other Mike Bass nominees included Covenant and Hammie’s Hooker and Chesalon.
Champion Jockey was awarded to Karl Neisius, while champion miler Variety Club scooped 3 awards including Horse of the Year. Jet Master, now deceased, was awarded Stallion of the year for 6th consecutive year running.
